From a Simple Solution, to the Industry Standard
Skid Steer Doors of North America was born out of a simple realization: there was a massive gap in the market, and everyday operators were paying the price. When our President and Owner, Leighton Berry, looked to source a cab door and windows for his own skid steer, he quickly realized the options from OEM and aftermarket suppliers were either entirely unavailable or wildly overpriced.
He went to work sourcing local materials and built a custom door from scratch. While that first prototype was basic, its flawless functionality and budget-friendly cost were undeniable. He knew he had unlocked a solution that countless other operators desperately needed.
What started as a personal solution evolved into a mission to bring shatterproof, affordable cab protection to operators everywhere. That's how Skid Steer Doors of North America was born.
The Original Pioneer
As the original pioneers of the shatterproof Lexan® polycarbonate door, we were the first to market, and the first to remember the operators with older, legacy machinery. While other manufacturers overlooked these classic models, we stepped up to design full cab enclosures to keep legacy equipment safely on the jobsite.
But we didn't stop there. We continue to innovate, providing premium cab solutions for today's latest machinery and engineering for the equipment of tomorrow.
