We know most of our customers are working owners, not computer people. So we do not hide the instructions behind an account login or a support ticket. You can get them three ways, and all three are free.

Why model-specific instructions matter

Every door we sell is CNC-cut for one specific machine family, so the panel geometry is handled before it ships. Mounting remains model-specific: some kits use existing factory points, while others require drilling and bolting where the instructions direct.

Take the Bobcat M Series Skid Steer Door at $1,695 or the CAT D Series Skid Steer Door at $1,595. Each one is built to the exact door opening of those machines, so the panel does not need trimming or shimming to fit. Mounting varies by exact model: some kits use existing factory points, while others require drilling and bolting at locations identified in the included instructions.

The written instructions identify the required mounting locations, tools, hinge and latch setup, and weather seal steps for your exact machine. What’s in the box

Here is what ships with a typical door, using our Bobcat door kits as the example:

Tools you will want on the bench

Check the printed instructions before setting out tools. Depending on your exact model, the list may include:

• A socket set and combination wrenches
• A screwdriver
• A tape measure
• A clean blanket or cardboard to rest the door on
• A second set of hands for hanging the door, if you can get one

That is it. If your machine needs anything beyond this list, the instructions for your specific door will say so up front.

If you hit a snag, call us

Instructions are good. A person who builds the doors is better. If a hinge does not sit the way you expect, or your machine has been repaired and something is not where the video says it should be, stop and call or text (800) 781-8000, Mon–Fri 7am–4pm CST. We would rather spend ten minutes on the phone than have you force a part.

One important note on safety equipment. Some machines have door interlocks or safety magnets tied into their controls. Never modify or bypass them. If your install touches anything like that, call us at (800) 781-8000 and we’ll walk you through your machine’s setup.

Older machines are covered too

Worried there are no instructions for your machine because it is fifteen or twenty years old? Do not be. We build door and cab enclosures for older and obsolete skid steers that nobody else bothers with, like the Case 1840 and the 1845C. If we make a door for your loader, we can walk you through putting it on.

Older machines are where the phone really earns its keep. A bracket may have been swapped, or a mount may have shifted over years of hard use. Hardware is covered for 3 months.
