Which photographs are most useful?
A full front cab view, machine identification, hinge mounting area, latch mounting area and existing door assembly make a useful starting set. Take them only with the machine safely parked and follow its operator instructions. These photos help explain the configuration; they do not replace an assessment of damage or guarantee fit by themselves.
Capture the whole opening first
Stand where the entire cab opening is visible without climbing on unsafe areas. Include the edges around the opening rather than cropping tightly to the clear panel. Then capture the identification information clearly enough to read the complete model. A screenshot of a used-equipment advertisement may omit precisely the series or suffix the team needs.
Show mounting details without dismantling anything
Photograph both the hinge and latch areas. If parts are missing, show where they would attach. Include the existing assembly if there is one and mention whether it came from the factory or a previous supplier. Do not remove components merely to get a picture, and do not place yourself under raised equipment.
Send the question with the photos
Add one sentence stating the goal: replacing a damaged assembly, adding a door, or checking whether a particular catalog kit suits the machine. Include the exact product link you are considering. For example, a Bobcat M Series listing is more useful than a generic request for a Bobcat door, provided that is the machine family you actually own. Avoid sending unrelated personal information or payment details.
Quick answers
Will one picture of the clear panel be enough?
Often it leaves the mounting arrangement unclear. Include the complete opening and both mounting sides.
Should I measure or dismantle parts first?
Start with identification and photographs. Ask which measurements are needed before taking anything apart.
