Our skid steer door lifetime warranty comes down to one sentence: if your door fails or breaks under normal conditions, we replace it once, free, for as long as you own it. It applies to the original owner only. Hardware is covered for 3 months. The $150 shipping charge is not refunded. To start a claim, call or text (800) 781-8000. That is the whole deal. The rest of this guide explains each part, with no fine-print surprises.
What “limited lifetime warranty” means here
Warranty language gets stretched a lot in this industry. So here is ours, word for word: a limited lifetime warranty against door failure or breakage: one free replacement for life for the original owner, under normal conditions.
That sentence has four working parts. Each one means something specific.
Door failure or breakage. The warranty covers the door itself. If the polycarbonate fails or breaks while you are working the machine the way it was built to be worked, that is a warranty claim.
One free replacement. You get one new door at no charge. Not store credit, not a repair kit, not a discount code. A replacement door.
For life. There is no clock on it. Whether the door fails in year 2 or year 12, your one free replacement is still there waiting.
Original owner, normal conditions. The coverage belongs to the person who bought the door, using the machine for normal work. It does not transfer, and it does not cover abuse.
If any of that sounds limited, that is because it is. The word “limited” is right there in the name, and we would rather you know exactly where the lines are before you spend your money.
One free replacement, not unlimited replacements
This is the part some companies bury. We will not.
You get one free replacement door for life. If that replacement door also fails someday, the next one is on you, at regular price. One machine, one owner, one free door.
Why draw the line there? Because a promise of unlimited free doors forever is not a promise a real manufacturer can keep, and companies that make it usually hide an escape hatch in the fine print. We would rather make a smaller promise and keep it every single time.
The goal is that you never need that replacement at all. These doors are built from heavy-duty polycarbonate, the same family of material used in machine guarding and riot shields. Our owner Leighton has smashed a hammer into our 1/2” thick CAT D Series door on camera, unedited, to show what the material takes. You can read more about real-world lifespan in our guide on how long polycarbonate doors last.
What is covered and what is not
Here is the whole picture in one table. No hidden rows.
| Situation | Covered? |
|---|---|
| Door fails or breaks during normal work | Yes. One free replacement, for life |
| A second failure after your free replacement is used | No. The next door is at regular price |
| Hinges, latches, handles, seals within 3 months | Yes |
| Hardware after 3 months | No. Replacement parts are available, call us |
| Scratches and cosmetic wear | No. Wear is not failure or breakage |
| Door on a machine you bought used | No. Original owner only |
| Damage from misuse or abnormal conditions | No |
| Refund of the $150 shipping charge | No |
If your situation does not fit neatly in that table, do not guess. Call or text (800) 781-8000 and describe what happened. You will get a straight answer either way.
Hardware is covered for 3 months
The door is one thing. The hardware that mounts and operates it is another, and it has its own coverage: 3 months from purchase.
Hardware means the mechanical parts: hinges, latches, handles, fasteners, and weather seals. These are wear items. They live a hard life on a skid steer, opening and slamming shut all day in dust, mud, and vibration. Three months is enough time to surface any part that was going to give you trouble out of the gate.
After 3 months, hardware is on you, but you are not stranded. We stock replacement parts and accessories, from latches to electric wiper kits. One call gets the right part headed your way.
Original owner only: what that means
The warranty belongs to the person who bought the door from us. It stays with that person, not with the door and not with the machine.
Sell your skid steer with our door on it? The new owner gets a great door, but not the warranty. Bought a used machine that already wears one of our doors? Same answer. The coverage did not ride along.
We know that stings if you are the second owner. Call us anyway. We build doors for every one of the twelve brands we fit, including top sellers like the Bobcat M Series door, and we can set you up with parts or a fresh door with its own full warranty in your name.
One practical tip: keep your order confirmation email or receipt somewhere you can find it. A claim goes faster when we can pull up your original purchase in seconds.
How to file a claim
No forms, no portal, no ticket numbers. The process is a phone call.
- Call or text (800) 781-8000. We answer Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm CST.
- Tell us what happened. Plain language is fine. “Tree limb came through the brush and the door broke” tells us everything we need to start.
- We confirm the claim and get your replacement moving. You talk to the same people who build the doors, not a call center reading a script.
What to have ready when you call
- Your name and the phone number or email you ordered with
- Your order number, or roughly when you bought the door
- Your machine’s make and model (Bobcat T650, CAT 262D, and so on)
- A few clear photos of the damage, wide shot and close-up
- A quick description of what the machine was doing when it happened
Text the photos to the same number, (800) 781-8000. That is usually the fastest route.
Shipping and the $150 charge
Doors ship by UPS 3 Day Air, $150 flat, typically 3 business days (not guaranteed). That flat rate covers a big, heavy, well-packed crate moving fast across the country.
Here is the honest part: the $150 shipping charge is not refunded. Whatever happens with a claim or a return, the money that paid for freight stays spent. When you call about a replacement, ask about shipping and we will give you the exact numbers before anything moves. For the full picture on transit times and packaging, see our guide on how long shipping takes.
Why we stand behind the door this hard
We built the Original Shatterproof Polycarbonate (Lexan) Door. First to market, CNC-cut and precision fit for each make and model, no guesswork, made right here in North America.
OEM dealers will sell you a tempered glass door that can shatter into the cab, usually at a higher price and a longer wait. Big-box accessory stores will sell you a vinyl cover that flaps, fogs, and tears. We sell a door tough enough that our owner beats on it with a hammer on camera, and we back the door itself for as long as you own it.
A warranty is only worth what the company behind it will actually do. Ours fits on an index card, and every line of it is real: door covered for life, one free replacement, original owner, hardware for 3 months, shipping not refunded, one phone number to call. Everything the door ships with is listed in our guide on what comes in the box.
The short version
- Limited lifetime warranty against door failure or breakage under normal conditions
- One free replacement door, for life
- Original owner and purchaser only, and it does not transfer
- Hardware covered for 3 months, parts available after that
- The $150 shipping charge is not refunded
- Claims start with a call or text to (800) 781-8000
That is the whole warranty, told straight. If you have a situation this guide did not cover, call us and ask. You will get the same plain answer we put in writing here.
