If your Case Alpha Series skid steer runs with an open cab, we build the exact door for it. Our Case Alpha Series Skid Steer Door is shatterproof polycarbonate, CNC-cut for a precision fit, and priced at $1695. Running an Alpha Max? That is a separate door, cut for that cab, at $1595. Both come with the supplied hardware and printed instructions and carry a limited lifetime warranty. Shipping is UPS 3 Day Air, $150 flat, typically 3 business days (not guaranteed).
That is the short answer. Here is the rest of what Case Alpha owners ask us before they order.
Alpha or Alpha Max: know which door you need
We build two doors for the Alpha family, and they are not interchangeable. Each one is CNC-cut for its own cab opening, which is exactly why they fit so well.

Order the Case Alpha Series door for an Alpha Series machine. Order the Case Alpha Max Series door for an Alpha Max. If you are not sure which one is sitting in your yard, do not guess. Call or text (800) 781-8000 and tell us what is on the model plate. We will match you to the right door in one call.
That matters because a door built for the wrong cab is a door that leaks, rattles and fights you at the latch. A door cut for your cab fits and seals. That is the whole difference between a precision kit and a universal panel from a big-box accessory store.
Never had a factory door? That is the point
Here is the detail that surprises people: the Case Alpha Series kit is built for a Case model that never had a factory mounted door. If your Alpha came from the dealer as an open cab, this kit was designed for exactly that machine.
That changes the buying picture. You are not hunting for a replacement part Case no longer wants to sell you. You are adding an enclosure the machine never had, and turning an open cab into a sealed one. For machines that never came with a door from the factory, we also build door frame kits, and our door frame kit guide explains how that works across different machines.
We have made a business out of this. We are the Original Shatterproof Polycarbonate Lexan Door, first to market, and we build enclosures for machines nobody else bothers with. The Alpha kit is part of that same promise: if you run it, we can probably enclose it.
Why polycarbonate instead of glass or vinyl
Three reasons, and they are the same three that sell every door we make.
Safety. Polycarbonate offers protection superior to tempered glass. When a rock comes off the tracks or a branch whips back off the bucket, tempered glass turns into a cab full of pellets. Polycarbonate takes the hit. Our owner Leighton smashed a hammer into our 1/2 inch CAT D door on camera, unedited, because talk is cheap and video is not. Your Alpha door comes from the same shop and the same material family.
Comfort. An enclosed cab holds its temperature. In January the heater finally gets ahead of the cold. In July the dust, chaff and insects stay outside where they belong. If you feed cattle, push snow or clean pens all winter, the door pays you back in the first cold week.
Value. A machine with a proper enclosure lists higher and sells faster than the open-cab twin beside it. The door is one of the few upgrades that gives you comfort while you own the machine and money back the day you sell it.
Vinyl covers do none of this. They flap, they fog, they tear at the zippers, and they stop exactly zero flying objects. A hard door is a different class of protection.
What’s in the box
Your Alpha door arrives as a complete kit, ready to go on the machine:
- The CNC-cut polycarbonate door, shaped for your Case cab opening
- Mounting hardware: hinges, latch and handle hardware, and fasteners
- Weather sealing so the enclosure actually seals against wind and dust
- Everything sized for your model, so there is nothing to source at the hardware store
Because every door is cut on a CNC machine to the pattern for your model, the panel and seal are shaped for the correct fit. All supplied hardware is included. Mounting varies by model: some kits use existing factory points, while others require drilling and bolting where the included instructions direct.
If your machine has a door switch or safety magnet and you are not sure how your setup interacts with an aftermarket door, call us at (800) 781-8000 and we’ll walk you through your machine’s setup.
Installation: model-specific steps and tools
The Alpha door panel is CNC-cut for its model and does not need trimming. Many owners install it themselves after reviewing the included instructions, but mounting steps and required tools vary, and some kits require drilling and bolting. The supplied hardware is included; call or text (800) 781-8000 if you need the requirements confirmed before starting.
Install instructions are available for the door, and we wrote a full walkthrough in our skid steer door installation guide covering tools, time and the order of operations. If you hit a snag mid-install, call or text (800) 781-8000, Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm CST. You will get a person who has actually hung one of these doors, not a call center reading a script.
While you have the wrenches out, think about winter. Our electric wiper kit is $229 and was designed specifically for our doors, with everything needed to install it included. Cab heaters, side window panels and LED light bars round out the enclosure. Adding the wiper before the first wet snow is a lot nicer than adding it during.
Price, shipping and warranty
Price. The Case Alpha Series door is $1695. The Case Alpha Max Series door is $1595. Both prices are USD and posted right on the product pages, no call-for-quote games. Across the whole Case lineup our doors run $1395 to $1695, so the Alpha sits at the top end because it is a full enclosure kit for a cab that never had a door.
Shipping. UPS 3 Day Air, $150 flat, typically 3 business days after the door leaves our shop (not guaranteed). We ship across the US and Canada. Production and installation timing vary by exact model and required mounting steps.
Warranty. Every door carries our limited lifetime warranty against door failure or breakage: one free replacement for life for the original owner, under normal conditions. Hardware is covered for 3 months. We can stand behind that because we build these doors ourselves and we know what they take.
The rest of the Case lineup
The Alpha family is only part of what we build for Case. We also make doors for the 1840 and 1845C, the 40, 60 and 70 XT machines, the 75 through 95 XT machines, and the 400 series loaders, including the 410 through 440 and the 435 through 465. If a Case skid steer is still earning its keep, odds are good we cut a door for it.
Our Case skid steer door guide walks the full lineup, from the oldest 1840 to the current Alpha machines, and helps you land on the right door if you run more than one Case.
Common questions from Alpha owners
Do I have to modify the cab? Installation varies by exact model. Some kits use existing factory points, while others require drilling and bolting at locations identified in the printed instructions. Never cut, weld, or modify a certified ROPS or FOPS structure.
Will the polycarbonate scratch or cloud up? Treat it like any equipment window. Rinse the grit off before you wipe it and it will stay clear for years. It is a far harder material than the flexible vinyl on strap-on covers.
Is the door in stock? Doors are built per model. Call or text (800) 781-8000 for current lead time. Ordering before the fall rush is smart, because once the weather turns, everyone wants a door the same week.
Can I add a heater or wiper later? Yes. The wiper kit, cab heater and side window panels all pair with the door, and they install without redoing any of the door work.
Your Alpha works too hard for you to eat dust all summer and freeze all winter. Put a real door on it and run comfortable.
