Not sure which series you have?

Plenty of these machines have changed hands two or three times, and the decals do not always survive. Here is how to sort it out fast:

• Check the model decal. It is usually on the side of the boom or near the rear of the machine. A “226B” or “226B3” marking puts you squarely in this door.
• Check the serial number plate. It is typically inside the cab or on the frame. The model designation on the plate tells you the series.
• Look at the machine’s age. Most A and B series machines were built from the early 2000s through the early 2010s. If your CAT is from that stretch, odds are good this is your door.
