Which listing should a 240 or 250 owner use?
Start with our John Deere 240/250/260/270/280/290/300 Series 1 and Series 2 door listing. It is a separate catalog route from the D/E/G/GR Series product. Confirm the full identity and existing cab before ordering; a general John Deere label does not make the kits interchangeable.
Keep the series information with the model
When requesting a quote, copy the complete machine identification rather than saying an older Deere. Include the series where known and photographs of the front opening. If decals are missing or the machine has changed hands several times, use the identification information and the actual mounting arrangement rather than estimating from its appearance.
Check what a previous owner changed
Look for evidence of an existing retrofit, missing hinge pieces or a different latch arrangement. The purpose is to document what you have, not to diagnose or modify the cab yourself. A replacement assembly can require a different purchasing decision from a panel going into a known existing assembly. Have damage or uncertain structural changes assessed before installation.
Compare complete orders, not headline prices
Keep the door, side-window selection and accessories as separate lines while you compare options. Read what the exact listing includes and what is optional. Give that same listing to the installer so the quote reflects the selected retrofit instead of an assumed factory panel replacement. The product page below is the source for current options and pricing.
Quick answers
Is this the D/E/G/GR product?
No. The store provides a separate older Series 1 and Series 2 listing for the model group described here.
Can old factory hinges automatically be reused?
Do not assume so. Check the selected kit and installation requirements before relying on existing components.
