If you plow snow or run a cab heater, buy the swing-out door. A hinged door pulls tight against a gasket around the whole opening, and a sealed front is what lets a heater actually warm the cab. Rollup tracks also collect ice and packed snow in hard winter use. A hinged door has nothing to pack up. Fewer moving parts is a real advantage when it is bitter cold out and you are on a deadline. That said, plow operators already running an SVL or TL rollup like that the door opens the same whether the bucket is up, down, or buried in a pile.

Tight quarters: rollup

Barns, poultry houses, greenhouses, loading docks, trailers, and tree lines all have one thing in common. There is no room for a door to swing. A rollup opens straight up, so you can open the door with the machine nosed right against a wall, a fence, or a load.
