Takeuchi TL track loaders spend their lives in the rough stuff. Land clearing, brush cutting, forestry work. That is exactly the work where an open cab gets old fast and factory glass does not last.

Here is the current lineup, door by door:

Swingout door and enclosure (TL R2/V2 series): TL12R2, TL10R2, TL8R2, TL12V2, TL10V2, TL8V2.

Swingout door and enclosure (TL6R): TL6R.

Rollup replacement door: TL12R2, TL10R2, TL12V2, TL10V2.

One fit note that matters. The R2/V2 swingout door does not fit TL8 machines that are not R2 or V2 versions. An older TL8 has a different cab opening. Check your serial plate before you order, and if the model code is worn off or confusing, call or text (800) 781-8000 and we will sort it out with you.

Swingout or rollup? Pick by what your cab has now

The right choice comes down to one question: what is on the front of your machine today?

If your TL has an open cab with no front door, you want the swingout door and enclosure. It closes in the cab, seals out the weather, and swings open like a truck door.

If your TL12 or TL10 came from the factory with an overhead rollup door and the glass is cracked, fogged, or gone, you want the rollup replacement. It takes the place of the factory door, but in shatterproof polycarbonate instead of glass.

The swingout door: close in your TL 12/10/8 for $1795

The Takeuchi TL R2/V2 swingout door is our full door and cab enclosure for the TL12R2, TL10R2, TL8R2, TL12V2, TL10V2, and TL8V2.

This is the Original Shatterproof Polycarbonate Lexan Door, first to market. Each one is CNC-cut to match your model’s cab opening. It lands where it should, with no guesswork. You are not trimming or shimming a universal blank in the field.

An enclosed cab changes your workday in three ways:

• Safety. Polycarbonate offers protection superior to tempered glass. Brush, chain debris, and thrown rock hit the door, not you.
• Comfort. The enclosure helps regulate cab temperature. Real heat in January, less dust and fewer bugs in August.

The Takeuchi TL6R door brings the same swingout door and enclosure to the smaller TL6R. Same heavy-duty polycarbonate, same CNC-cut precision fit, same limited lifetime warranty. It runs $1595.

The TL6R is a popular machine for owners working tight spots, and it deserves the same protection as the big frames. If you have been running it with an open cab through winter, this door pays you back the first cold week.

The rollup replacement door: fix broken factory glass for $895

TL12 and TL10 machines with closed cabs use an overhead rollup front door. When that factory glass takes a hit from a grapple, a fence post, or flying debris, an OEM dealer replacement can get expensive fast, and you may wait on parts.

Our Takeuchi rollup door is the direct answer. It is $895, cut from shatterproof polycarbonate, and made for the TL12R2, TL10R2, TL12V2, and TL10V2. It rolls up overhead just like the door your machine came with, so nothing about how you operate changes.

Tempered glass does one thing when something hits it hard enough. It fails, all at once, right in front of your face. Polycarbonate takes the hit and stays in the frame.

Common questions from Takeuchi owners

I have an older TL8. Which door do I need? The swingout door fits the TL8R2 and TL8V2 only. If your TL8 is not an R2 or V2, call us with your serial number and we will tell you straight what your options are.

Do the doors scratch? Polycarbonate can scratch if you scrub it dry with grit on the surface. Rinse first, use a soft cloth and mild soap, and it stays clear for years. Skip ammonia glass cleaners.

Can I run a mulcher behind this door? Mulcher and brush cutter work is common on TL machines. Tell us about your attachment when you order and we will confirm the right door for the job.
