Kubota SSV65 Door: Shatterproof Fit for SSV65 and SSV75

If you run a Kubota SSV65 or SSV75, we build a shatterproof polycarbonate door made for your exact cab. The Kubota SSV Skid Steer Door is $1595 USD, CNC-cut to fit the SSV65 and SSV75, and ships with the supplied hardware and printed instructions. It carries our limited lifetime warranty against door failure or breakage, and it ships UPS 3 Day Air for a $150 flat rate, typically 3 business days (not guaranteed). Here is everything an SSV owner needs to know before ordering.

One door, two machines: SSV65 and SSV75

Kubota built the SSV65 and SSV75 on the same cab layout, so one door design covers both. Our Kubota SSV door fits the SSV65 and the SSV75. Those are the two models this door is built for, and only those two.

That matters because a skid steer door is not a one-size-fits-all part. A door cut for a Bobcat or a Case will not seal right on a Kubota opening. Ours is CNC-cut from heavy-duty polycarbonate (Lexan) to match the SSV opening, so the fit is precise and the seal does its job.

We were first to market with the shatterproof polycarbonate skid steer door. Our hero line says it plainly: The Original Shatterproof Door for Safety and Comfort with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. That is still exactly what we build.

SSV or SVL? Check your model plate first

This trips up a lot of Kubota owners, so let’s clear it up before you order.

  • SSV is Kubota’s wheeled skid steer line. The SSV65 and SSV75 take the door on this page.
  • SVL is Kubota’s compact track loader line. Those machines use a different door and a different opening.

If your machine runs on tracks, you want the SVL door instead. Read our Kubota SVL door guide for those models. And if you are not sure which Kubota you have, look at the model plate or just call or text us at (800) 781-8000. We will sort it out in a minute.

Why put a hard door on your SSV?

Three reasons, and they are the same three our customers repeat back to us.

Safety. An open cab puts your face in line with whatever the bucket, the brush, or a chain throws back at you. Polycarbonate offers protection superior to tempered glass, which can shatter on a hard hit. Our owner Leighton took a hammer to our 1/2 inch CAT D door on camera, unedited, and the door took it. Same material family, same build philosophy, on every door we make.

Comfort. An enclosed cab helps regulate temperature. In January that means the heat stays in while you plow or feed cattle. In July it means dust, wind, and debris stay out. Operators who close up their cab put in longer, better days.

Value. A machine with a sealed cab is worth more the day you sell it. A door is one of the few upgrades that gives you an immediate resale-value lift while also making every hour in the seat better.

Installation: what to expect

Because the door is CNC-cut for the SSV65 and SSV75, the panel arrives shaped for the correct opening and the supplied hardware is in the box. Mounting steps, required tools, and installation time vary by exact model; some kits bolt straight on and others require drilling and bolting. Review the printed instructions before starting.

We walk through the general process, tools, and timing in our guide on how to install a skid steer door. It applies to the SSV the same as any of our doors.

One note on door switches and safety magnets. Some machines tie the door into the machine’s safety system. Never bypass a safety interlock. If your SSV setup raises any question there, call us at (800) 781-8000 and we’ll walk you through your machine’s setup.

How the SSV door compares to your other options

An SSV owner shopping for a door usually weighs three paths. Here is the honest comparison.

Our polycarbonate door OEM glass door Vinyl or fabric cover
Material Shatterproof polycarbonate (Lexan) Tempered glass Soft vinyl
Impact protection Superior to tempered glass Can shatter on impact Little to none
Fit CNC-cut for SSV65/75, all hardware included Made for the machine Loose, universal sizing
Weather sealing Rigid door with a real seal Good Flaps, leaks, wears through
Where you buy Direct from the manufacturer OEM dealers Big-box accessory stores
Door warranty Limited lifetime warranty Varies by dealer Typically minimal

A vinyl cover is cheap up front, but it will not stop debris and it rarely survives more than a season or two of real work. An OEM glass door is a solid product, but glass is glass, and replacing a shattered pane means a trip to the dealer. Our door is the option built to take a hit and keep working, and it is the only one of the three backed by one free replacement for life for the original owner, under normal conditions.

Add-ons that earn their keep on an SSV

The door is the core of the enclosure, but a few accessories turn an SSV into a true all-season cab.

  • Electric wiper kit, $229. Designed for our doors and comes with everything you need to install it. If you plow snow or work in the rain, this is the first add-on to get.
  • Cab heater, $119. A compact electric ceramic heater/fan with a swivel base. It hooks to your machine’s battery and takes the edge off cold mornings.
  • Side window panels, $399. Close in the sides of the cab to finish the enclosure and keep the heat where it belongs.

Order the wiper kit with the door so both sets of instructions and parts arrive together. Plan the work only after reviewing the model-specific door steps and the wiper instructions.

Warranty and shipping, in plain words

Every Kubota SSV door carries our limited lifetime warranty against door failure or breakage: one free replacement for life for the original owner, under normal conditions. Hardware is covered for 3 months, so the door itself is protected for the life of your ownership under normal conditions.

Shipping is simple. UPS 3 Day Air, $150 flat, typically 3 business days after the door leaves our shop (not guaranteed). We ship across the US and Canada. Production and installation timing vary by exact model and required mounting steps.

Common questions from SSV owners

Is the door in stock? Our doors are built to order on the CNC table, cut for your exact model. Call or text (800) 781-8000 for current lead time before you order if you are on a deadline.

Will it scratch? Polycarbonate is softer than glass, so it can scratch if you scrub it with grit on the cloth. Rinse first, use a soft cloth, and skip harsh solvents. Treated right, it stays clear for years.

Can I run it with the window open in summer? The door keeps you protected while the rest of your ventilation works as normal. Many owners run the door year-round and add the heater only for winter.

What if my machine is older or not listed? We specialize in machines nobody else builds enclosures for. If your Kubota or any other brand is not on the site, call us. There is a good chance we can help.

The bottom line for SSV65 and SSV75 owners

The Kubota SSV door is $1595, cut for your exact machine, shipped complete with the hardware, and backed by a limited lifetime warranty against door failure or breakage. It protects you from what the job throws at you, keeps the cab livable in January and July, and adds real value when it is time to trade up.
